  • I have worked with early elementary students for more than 8 years, often using interventions that produced positive outcomes for the student.

  • My particular expertise is in 19th Century Europe. I'm a diplomatic historian. I also really like studying the Romanovs.
  • I love learning about the saints in Church History, cold winters and I aspire to become one of the greatest history instructors of all time.

  • Studied Educational Technology at University of Northern Colorado and  Sinclair Community College
  • English teacher at Kitami Fuji Girls' High school in Japan and science/STEM teacher at DA
  • A favorite DA classroom experience: Creating a tropical rain forest in Room 206 gave students the opportunity to build treetops and a waterfall using brooms, umbrellas, tissue paper, and string.
  • Trained in East Africa as an outdoor educator, achieved 3rd level in flower arrangement and tea ceremony in Hokkaido, Japan, and taught 5th level Oral Communication at the IEP at the University of Dayton.
  • I'm a fan of ELO, Elton John, the Traveling Wilburys, and Paul Simon.

  • Along with her husband, Fr. Wayne McNamara, has completed several pilgrimage walks to better understand the historical and spiritual significance of pilgrimage
  • Pilgrimages include the Canterbury Trail, St. Cuthbert’s Way to Holy Island, St. Hilda’s Way, and the West Highland Way to Iona
  • Inspired to pursue pilgrimage walking by a former DA parent who completed the 500-mile Camino de Santiago
  • Co-owns and operates a rental business, McNamara Realestate
  • Partners with Catholic Social Services through their Refugee Resettlement Program
  • Has hosted numerous foreign exchange students, creating a home enriched by diverse cultures
